Having had problems lifting the roof and even having to "squirm/wriggle" into the seats to have a meal or just do something at the table. I decided to make it easier for myself or anyone else who is with me.I purchased a piece of 12mm ply from Bunnings,I had it cut to size 760 x 500mm, 2 lengths of flat edging
30 x 10mm and 3 x 2.4 mt lengths of moulding ( these where the most expensive ). Finished with boiled linseed oil/turps mix. Total cost $42.

The results are:

By taking the tables out I now have a lounge, front table nearst the bed can be swung around and it overlaps the bed a little (great for a cuppa in bed) and if more than 2 people using the van a full table is available.Storage of spare table can be outside on even ground or my choice is in the back of the car.
All I need now is a carpet/mat square to cover the brackets in the floor. You will notice seat covers, they are to protect the originals from when I take the dogs.
