Does anyone have issue with there shower door leaking into there van and the wooden frame starting to rot?

I was thinking of replacing the timber with rectangular aluminum tube. Has anyone had the same issue and how have you rectified the problem.

@S&k,

We have the same issue - after this trip - we will be letting all the timber dry out, from the shower side - seal all the joints with clear paintable silicon and then paint with a clear marine varnish or similar colour to the existing frame.

We also find that the door sits too high and water splashes out under the gap. I am going to try to work out how to put some sort of clear plastic strip on that will also minimise the amount of water that splashes out.

Cheers,

Rohan

I have even thought about having the door open into the shower and hinge it from the othe side of the frame

Thanks for that. Do you remember where you got the rail from?? Isn't the drop on a shower curtain only 1800mm? How have you over come this with the roof height?

Got the rail and fittings from our local Jayco dealer.

Ended up putting short lengths of light chain between the track runners and the curtain rings.
