Hi all had an issue with my WDH making major clanking and creaking noises. Had a look at forums and they said using dry lube worked well as does silicon based sprays. I tried the dry lube and it worked for about 2 hours of towing so for most trips by the time I arrived it was creaking and clanking again. Also there was the mess of the dry lube and where to store as it melts over 30 degrees or so. I tried the other day some silicon spray - awesome. I sprayed once and have had a trip to port fairy and back about 6 hours of towing, a trip to portarlington and back about 3 hours of towing and its still quiet. Also there is no mess and it takes about 30 seconds to apply.

Have always used silicon spray on my WDH and ball, if you find it still creaks alot its probably too tight
