Hi there,

We have got a new O/B 17.56-2 on the way, should be ready @ end of the month.

There is 5 of us the Wife, 2 boys 4 & 6 and 10 week old baby girl.

Live in Gippsland Vic.

Tow Vehicle is a 100 series Landcruiser v8 on gas injection.

Just sold our camper trailer and was looking for a bit more room.

Planning our first trip maybe along the Murray River in Sep / Oct school holidays.

Great site, lots of info.

Well done and welcome.

How long did you have to wait for?

We love the 17.56-2 layout but towing with a Prado (2500kg) we were trying to keep weight down so didn't go for the O/B. Also had a standard Eagle instead of O/B and never regretted it - the O/B does look nice though!

Fantastic!

Welcome, your going to love the 17 footer.
The land cruiser will pull it along no problems exept for some extra fuel.
Any where up along the Murray is great this time of the year and I hear the fish are biting good if your into that.

Cheers

Hoping the Landcruiser wont be to bad on fuel, get @ 400km to tank of gas not towing.

Still works out to be about 20l/100km, but being gas not to bad for the power and the weight of the Cruiser.

Might be a bit :scared: about finding out how it goes towing the van though.

My cruiser with the 4.5 litre on gas gets about 250 klm on 72 liters of gas towing my 17.56-2.
I tend to be fairly heavy footed so could probably get a little extra.
Thank god gas is fairly well priced.

Welcome aboard Misso,

Another 17.56. Maybe we will have to split the forum into 2 parts, one for the 17.56 owners and one for everyone else ;)
