Just read this about the new Isuzu MU-X. Thought people might be interested in the basic details.

3.0L TD, 380nm, 3000kg tow, 4x2 & 4x4 options available. Looks well priced...

Yeah, you are right. It is a bit light isn't it. Geez we are pretty spoilt for power nowadays though - I shudder when I think back to my younger days & well recall my old man hauling us round with the horse float & nags on board with a 2 litre 144 Volvo! If my memory serves me right the float didn't even have breaks :stupid:

Throw a <insert your favorite chip> in it to get about 430Nm and then a real mapping will squeeze a bit more out of it. More then made up for in the budget price of the Isuzu's.

Make a good 2nd car and occasional tow vehicle. I had a 120Kw D-Max and was pretty happy with it's towing.

My BIL has the D Max ute, the consumption is unbelievably good on that motor even towing his bikes trailer. I guess the power is Prado like and people tow with them.
