We have had a week at Goolwa on the SA south coast, during this time the hot water service has stopped working on power. The power switch does not feel positive in its movement. Has anyone had a similar issue, or any ideas on where to start looking. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Cheers Cracka

Is the HWS power switch a 12volt to a 240V relay? If so, safe to change/fix it yourself, otherwise is it entering the realm of a qualified electrician as it is 240V work?

Got the switch out today, needed to remove the solid gas line in front of it, this requires an 11mm spanner for anyone else about to do theirs. A little fiddely to get the right angle connectors out of the hole. Tested the switch and definitely a fault. Will drop into Jaycar near work tomorrow and pick a couple up. Hopefully job done after work tomorrow.
