hi all, looking at the trackimo gps tracker and was wondering if anyone has hard wired in one and knows how long the onboard battery in the van would last as we don't have solar.

The device is on sale for $145 with 12 months free tracking and then $5 per month after, anywhere in the world where you have a gps signal.

You can set up a geofence around the van, so if it moves (stolen) you get notified.

Looks like what I'm after

Good idea to check what frequencies it uses and if they are compatible with Telstra/Optus 3g since this is what the tracker is using to communicate. It says 850 and 900 which are ok but I think you also need 2100. You can but a 3g tracker on fleabay for under $100 bucks where you provide your own phone sim card. Must say it supports 850/900/2100 GSM or UMTS/HSDPA or WCDMA
