Heading East for 5 weeks starting next weekend , plan is to scoot across the bald bit in the middle then head down the Eyre Peninsula then maybe up to the Flinders Ranges or possibly down to Adelaide then follow the Murray to meet up with a few mates in Albury, have a game of Golf then another couple of games in Howlong and Yarrawonga and then head home. Any advice on great camp spots or must sees would be greatly appreciated

I am heading to Cobram in November from Perth but also interested in camping areas in the Eyre Peninsula, going to be a slow trip back so we are following the coast back from Campbelltown

Pildappa rock near Wudinna is a great low cost Bush camp.
Willow Springs Station and Skytrek are my top spots for the Flinders. Lots of great little camps on the Eyre peninsula, locks well can be windy though.
Lincoln Cove national Park, Coffin Bay national park and Whaler's Way are all worth a visit.
If you have time the museum at the visitors centre in Pt Augusta is well worth a visit.
Camping at mambray creek is better than staying in Port Augusta.
If you head into the Barossa, there is low cost camping at the Greenock oval with the pub a short walk for a nice meal. The Brewery, Kaleske Wines and Murray Street Vineyards are also stumbling distance away.
In the riverlands there is a free camp alongside the overland corner hotel, or on the waterfront not much further past there.
Big Bend further down stream is great too.
If you are looking for some Caravan Parks, the Kirton Point caravan park in Port Lincoln is the best one in the area.
The Whyalla Foreshore park is nice, but whyalla is a one night stop at best.
The Yorke Peninsula is pretty under rated and well worth a visit to Walaroo and surrounds as well as Port Vincent and surrounds, you could easily spend a couple of nights at each and only scratch the surface.

Camping between Yarrawonga and Cobram has beautiful beaches, I'm in Cobram if you're up for a waterski, on the mighty murray river.
I wont be getting wet though, ( too cold for me till November ) 20180102_141424.jpg

Hey mate if you're interested we have a weekend Vic meetup at Beaufort on the 14-16th of September if you want to pop down for a beer around a fire?

All along the east coast of the Eyre Peninsula has very nice freecamps if thats what your into. Tumby Bay, Port Neill and Port Gibbon all provide water front freecamping, Port Lowly just north of Wyalla is a pleasant $10 waterfront freecamp
Thanks Crusty we’ve made it to Ceduna and are heading down to Streaky Bay tomorrow will check a few of those out

Cheers Cracka were still tossing up whether we’ll do the Flinders or just head down through the Barossa and follow the Murray back up to Albury
