We spent 2 nights here in January on an unpowered site to test the solar capabilities on our van. This stay convinced us not to fix the solar panels as we were able to move them as the sun moved. The site was big, we had tonnes of room for the van and our car. This campground does have powered sites also. While setting up we had a visit from a 2.5m lace monitor (2m behind the caravan) which excited the kids no end. 10 mins later we had another one take a short cut under our van, emerging where we were setting up a table and chairs. By the end of our stay we were used to seeing them around. We had kangaroos at our door in the evening and early in the morning. Lots of beautiful birds around and possums in the trees at night. It is a short walk to the beautiful, pristine depot beach. Kids got dumped a fair bit but loved every minute of it and the boogie boards were popular. As our stay was just after some nearby bushfires they were down to 100L drinking water so we were unable to fill the tanks on our van. Therefore, we had to use the showers in the amenities block which were free if you wanted a cold shower or 20c a minute for a hot shower. Coffee van turned up each morning for those who needed a coffee fix. Cost us $35 a night for 5 of us. Beautiful part of the world if you would like a back to nature experience.
