I was going to use brass fittings, I knew I had them but they were in hiding until the other day when I found them, plastic is doing the job now and I can't be bothered, will stick them in the van for Just In Case.

Finally got around to finishing off one of the projects on my to-do list - making a modified jockey wheel / plate. Some time back I'd bought a cheap used ratchet type jockey wheel. Bought some suitable flat plate and pipe from a local steel supplier and finally with the help of a cousin-in-law with welding skills, welded the bits and pieces together. Overall, I'm happy with the result despite a couple of design flaws I encountered along the way.

....and another little job off the project list (well, 95% of it). Had made up a pole holder a while back and finally got round to painting it and fitting onto the van. Now just have to paint the white straps.

Plenty of time...................

Your way better than me with the jockey wheel, I just cut the bottom off and welded the plate on but found it jiggled around just as much so dumped it....all the movement was in the windy bit.

Wish I still had it as it would be great when Big Mal is just parked up at home.
