Hello we have a new 2012 16.49.1 Expanda Outback and we need a child safety bed rail for our 18 month old son to sleep safely on the double bed. Anyone know where to purchase one?

clay, we used the adjustable bed rail from our child's bed here at home (purchased from target from memory. Anyway, if you fold the bed end out (before putting the mattress down, and feed the bed rail through the gap and into place then put down the mattress. I'm assuming that you're just wanting one for stopping him/her from falling out rather than climbing out because they can/will still climb over the top if they want to get out.

Thanks to you too Andrea, I think we may check out Target when we are in Perth they have something that might work.

Thanks everyone! Ch00ka77, that would work perfectly if we had the bunks but since we do not I dont think it would wide enough.

Hi Clayton, you could do chooka's safety gate in your 16.49-1 if you have your little one sleeping on the rear bed. It would fit nicely between fridge and wardrobe!

Thanks again to everyone got your help. We ended up buying a safety bed rail from Target for $39 and it works great. Our son hasn't tried climbing over it yet, but that may be due to the fact he was extremely tired both nights we slept in the van and he passed right out.

Great stuff clayton that's the good thing about going away as the kids wear themselves out during the day and sleep well at night. Also with the safety gate it gives mum and dad a bit more at ease when the kids are asleep.
