Advice needed Re : changing round bumper to square

Hi all

I am thinking of changing the round bumper on our 16.49.2 to a square one so I can mount a bike rack for at least 3 adult size mountain bikes.

I have seen the ideas people have done on the a frame but with our pajero's spare wheel I would be worried about turning circle and being able to open back door with bikes loaded up, as the back of the pajero is my bullmastiffs travelling space.

So can it be done changing the bumper that is and would it be strong enough for the bike rack. It looks like the round one is just bolted into the square frame.

The one i made on the back of our 16.49-3 is made of 50 x 50 x 3 mm with a windsor rapid drop down wheel carrier all galved up

G'day @borstalboy, a while ago @zerosecta had made up some rear bars for relocating the spare wheel. He maybe able to suggest/make something if you don't know anyone to do it.
