Hi guys,

Since the last post i did re mods to the Panda.

Here are a few more.

TV Bracket, it makes watching TV in bed heaps easier. I got the caravan service guy to fit it, only cost me $50. It is straight on to the wall and he used screws and adhesive. He says he has done heaps like that so it looks well finished and seems firm. Had no issues.

LED strip light it is like daylight once turned on at night.

DVD player for the young fellow in his end. I got the 12 volt from the light above the sink area and ran a wire behind the microwave and straight out. Works a treat. It is attached with heavy duty Velcro. I hasn't fallen of yet. Touch wood :)

And finally some carpet. I got over having to sweep the lino every day, at least with carpet you do a quick vacuum when you get home...

Hot water tap is the next item, plus a home made outdoor shower using the a frame tap...

Once done i will put some pics up...

Cheers

Nice mods. Care to share how you've done the LED strip light. Is it a permanent fixture? What did you wire it to?

We used a heavy duty carpet from Bunnings. I thought of the full marine style carpet but it was to hard and rough for my liking.

This is the best of both worlds...

I used the 3m LED strip light from Ebay. It is stuck to the metal lip that runs along the edge of in front of the vinyl between the van and the pop top. I was going to hook it up to the outside light which i may still do, but at this stage i run a wire on the outside of the van though the 3m wire hooks in to the 12 outside plug. It works well.
The advantage is that when the pop top is shut the light strip and the wire is all hidden in the roof as there is a fair bit of space there.

I have also fitted LEDs to all other internal lights but as I dont like white LED brightness inside I opted for the warm white LED panels. They are really good and create the old school light globe ambiance with the power efficient of LED...

Cool. Thanks, looks like a good spot to run a strip. We ran a strip off the annex barrel (if that's what it's called) on the last trip and that threw enough light. Your position will allow a bit more length of light plus the bonus of being a permanent location.
