Extras are bike rack (third rail for bike rack is in transit somewhere!), drifter panel, extra 12v at dining table and outside, two outside drop down tables, ibis air.

The new door latches are great - they click shut rather than having to push a button to make sure theyre shut.

Drifter is easy to use.

Lighting is crazy. So many lights! A lot of them have a dimming feature and a "blue" mode (presumably as night lights).

The bottom bunk does not have any lights of its own - very odd, but easy fixed as theres power and 12v at each bunk. The top bunk has two led lights!

The underneath is tidier than our last two Jaycos. Ongoing improvement in quality control i assume.

Having gone from swag, to tent, to trailer, to camper, to expanda, to pop top - it now feels weird not to have to "set up"

The new timber colours are paler - we like that, less "woody" but not the high gloss black/white/grey/maroon that seems to be the trend.

The new outside decals are smaller and quite understated - maybe makes the van look bigger that the previous orange and black graphics?

Im please the fridge is tropical rated (has a fan for cooling too - two speed)

Looks great @jawk now to get out and enjoy it!!! How does the Triton go with the big beast? I think that would kill the clutch in my Triton.
Well it went really well. We live in the hills and there's one looong hill that's a killer to most things - it got down to 65kmh.
Its an auto, and I shift it manually with hills - I think it needs this as the turbo lag is noticeable.
Hayman Reese WDH, without the hitch it drops about inch or a tad less.
It sits quite well but its the first full van weve had and the side winds give it all a nudge.
The instant fuel economy guage thingo went into a different range ive seen before tho !! - normally sitting in the 0-20L/100 range, sith the foot down when heading up the hills the fuel useage was up heaps a new range of 0-30L/110km came up on the display!!

Specs of the setup in the top pics...

'14 Triton GLXR Auto & Starcraft.
At time of weighing Van has two full 80 something litre water tanks, two full gas bottles and a full battery.
Ute weights include full fuel tank, me (90kg), tub liner, rubber mat, a few spanners, and WDH bars and tow hitch.

GCM 5700kg - actual CM 4820kg
GVM 2930kg - actual VM 2080kg
Tow ball weight limit 300kg - actual towball weight 180kg
Towing limit 3000kg
Van ATM 2985kg (could have been higher but wanted it below 3000kg) - actual van weight as described above 2620kg.

Van Tare according to the weighbridge ticket from Jayco is 2473kg, and they reckon the ball weight is 177kg - so pretty right really.

So we have a reasonable bit of payload for both the ute and van available even taking the GCM and individual GVM and ATM into account.

(so payload would include clothes, 1x wife, 1x skinny 8yo girl, engel, more tools, food - all the usual stuff!)

.

looks very nice welcome to the 22.68 club.. yes I like the new handles :)
The L shape with the table is great if we actually ordered one instead of floor stock we would of gone for that.

You will be very excited sleeping in it tonight :)

Welcome to the big leagues!
The lights look really interesting. Different to our ones. It also looks liken you have a shelf above the sink in the bathroom?.
I assume your water filler doors are black? I cant see them.
Your kitchen layout is completey differnt to ours. Is that standard or did you change it?

Kitchen and a few more things changed this year, smaller side holes on double bed, bathroom as you saw, light switch next to towel rack etc.
I like the more bench space although not sure about the smaller drawers or TV high. Its always give or take.

The big bed is great you might need a egg shell topper.

Yep kitchen is stock as a rock. Only change is the seat n table style, and extra power socket under the table.

Id be really interested in seeing a phot of what type of light you guys have for the bottom bunk?

Great looking van there @jawk
Looks the goods behind the Triton. :cheer2:
Agree with @17triton.....I think the auto is the go with that weight.
I would give my clutch a fair workout on any sort of a hill towing our 14.44.

We tow horses around too - so the auto is the go. Pretty much all the dual cabs among our horsey mob are auto, except for one die hard who likes buying clutches for his Navara.

We have the triple bunk so fixed so each one has that same round one on the bottom of each bunk going down.
You could split the 12v and put in a light like your reading light, Our 17.58 had the same ones for bunks as we had for reading lights next to the 240v.
Or a 12v light of the cig 12v adapter?

Yeah if Jayco wont do something its no biggy I'll put a flexible light in just next to the 12v socket, and maybe even pop a dimming strip led above the table along the trim of the top bunk so its out of the way when (if) folded.
