Bought an Expanda 16.49-3 a couple of months ago. I've got a larger family (4 kids) but the elder ones will likely tent outside.

I have made some minor repairs and am now working on getting it to comply with NZ Self-Contained Camper (SCC) laws. From what I can see, it is only the Grey water system that is required to be added. I've bought the bobs and bits and getting into it. Hopefully, get it certified in the next few weeks.

I've also bought a Chinese heater so we can extend our camping into the shoulder season. Will get that installed once I've got the SCC completed.

Looking forward to seeing all the tips tricks and mods you guys do and also what exciting adventures you have.

Cheers,
Tom

So how and what did you do for the grey water tank?

I got a 75L rollaway tank and some funny-looking waste water traps. I found fitting the traps a bit painful as they are designed for UK caravan plumbing.
It all seems to be working, except the kitchen sink is now extremely slow to drain. I think a sag in the original pipe is causing an airlock. I'll rehang it tonight to see if that fixes it. I'll take a photo when the sun is up.

I originally would have liked Camlocks but once I saw the price I went to basic garden irrigation bayonet and just jam my 25 flexy hose to it, 25mm x 10M Bunnings drain hose $10, tight arse special................,

If your drain hose sags because it has a long run or needs support, I fed mine thru a length of PVC pipe and now the sink will suck the dish cloth down it..............

Looks a very tiddly set up indeed.. just what are the grey fittings with round bits ????
