The Dumeresque River is running nicely for a change .... And the grass is green....and since the coppers are a few hundred yards away manning the gate the snakes are safe...

It is with a heavy heart I report the Spa Supermarket at Texas has closed, they made nice bread and good apple turnovers there..... no bakery in Texas either.....
@Drover you'll have to wait until you make you dash over border to one of the best bakery in NSW only about 2 and a bit hrs from were you are now. A hint, a great free camp on river and begins with "B"

Echuca. There's 47 bakeries, ones bound to be ok
Hi,

I suspect most of them are trendy, yuppy, touristy cafes, now renamed as bakeries with a few loaves of plastic screwed to the shelves to give the illusion that something is baked on the premises. They get away with it since most of the customers have no idea what good freshly baked goods taste like. As long as they can buy some gluten-free base with a smashed avocado on top they think they have hit the jackpot!

take care
Mike

if your looking for a K Kerang bakery best pies very nice always get one

Kerang is far enough away from Melb and isn't a huge place but we are up to "F" @Bluey your jumpin the gun fella......................

In other news this arvo, who would have thought a 2 week jolly would add a sh*t load of $$ to the maintenance bill, $100 for 2 x trunnions and a anode for HWS, good deal for sure saved $100 but when I pulled up at Texas, the awning that I have been waiting to fail, finally delaminated even more so by the time we got home, thats $900 for me but could be $1100 at some places and a call in of favours from some mates to help me replace it, this time I will make a cover for it while its not on the road...... could buy one for about $100 but can make one for $20 so spend the savings on some Bourbon...............

Don't forget folks Gates open Dec 17 so have your 2x jabs and a print out to prove it, unless you are on a high horse then stay at home by yourself while we get back to real life....................

@Bluey I'm going to give them a ring and see about insurance but age maybe be its downfall going from other reports, no drama if van damaged as well but awning on its own at that age is wear and tear it seems.............

Good Afternoon house sitters, ACT has just put out their COVID plans for 1st November, worth a read if your thinking of heading that way, depending if you have your jabs if you need a exemption for some Victorian and NSW areas but if your a denier then you have extra restrictions.......

another 20mm in the gauge and the building supplies mob said delivery will be next week as its too wet and I just spotted a leak around the ensuite window in Big Mal, reckon its another bluddy rivet above in the sail track thats leaking.... I replaced them all in the track a few years back since then new wall from hail storm and look like The Professionals didn't do a great job of sealing before riveting the track back on ...... Test one dry the area and slap a bit of Hundred Mile an Hour over suspect rivets, check inside after next downpour, no water then Ive found the buggas... if wet then swear.

Well thanks @Bluey , been thinking about new mirrors for ages, it was a nice dream, you made me have another another look at MSA, I gagged at the price now, so I then had a look at the Clearviews, bloody hell nearly needed 000 , $1400 got to be joking, if someone really pays that much....... great mirrors but crap my old truck jobs will get a refurbish ..................... though there are some pre loved nearby for about $500 but I could really use that coin elsewhere, even though I have saved about $700 on my 100K service that I'm doing at 90K, since I didn't have the $700 to start with its academic.

and on nice bakeries my local at Cooloola Cove is on my Great Bakeries list as well..................................
