Hi Mate
I just read this on another forum, you may want to check yours out.
"Hi I have started to rebuild 1983 Viscount Grand Tourer, just a word of warning, I have had the vinyl flooring tested by an accredited lab and guess what? The fibre backing is white asbestos.
So it stays down and has new vinyl glued over the top. ( OK as long as it is not disturbed )"

Not many weeekends now before we hit the road so need to get my backside into gear.

Got some new toys to get me going.

Currently getting my Dexter on and prepping the van so no blood er sorry paint gets anywhere it's not wanted.

Going to get the top coat down in the morning, then prime and paint the doors sunday.

Progress!

So I wasn't going to do the very bottom cupboard but I decided to do everything.

About 6 hours of taping and about 5 rolls of 50 metres of tape and a kill room Dexter would have been proud.

I had coveted the entirev floor as well but a section of got blown away by the sprayer

I don't even know why I bothered as I am laying a new floor so it's not a big deal.

Anyhow, so after 6 hours of taping, swearing and snacks we let the spray gun rip and we burned through around 3 litres of paint in 30 minutes and came up with this....

Very happy with results....

Next step is do a second coat to finish up after sanding back some run marks.

Then tomorrow prep and prime all the doors for reinstall.

But after the top coat tonight I can start filling the cupboards and under the seats while I work on the doors and lay the floor.

Got all the hardware today, door handles, new curtain cord plus new plugs and catches for the cupboards so the cupboard doors stay shut while in tow etc.

Also got all the blinds backs in and started packing her.

Next step is to get all the doors primed, painted and re installed, lay the floor, New bed slats, new mattresses and linen.

Then back on the road!
