Paid extra $200 for powder coating to the exterior only. $350 extra for both internal & external.
I got lucky though, there was enough overspray from the external that a fair bit of the internal was covered in back.

Looks great, are you worried about stone chips from the road chipping the paint.

I am not too concerned about stone chips. Don't plan going off the bitumen in the near future. The front of my OB so far does not have any stone chips from the few trips I have done so far. In the event I do get a chip, a can of satin black touch up paint should do the trick.

Tips on mounting the box on the van. The gas bottles look straight forward to remove.
I am thinking that 4 U shape bolts should be sufficient? 10mm guage?
Is there anything else I need to consider?
Also, need to move the tap too. Actually, my van is currently having its recommended 1st service. I might get Jayco to move & extend the water pipe towards the front on the draw bar so it is clear of the box.

Tool box installed. Took me approx 4 hours. The gas took the longest as I kinda nutted it out as I went. Really happy with the result!

With the rear bike rack, if your thinking of a design such as what I have.

I strongly recommend you DO NOT DO IT.
My chassis has been strengthen for the rear bar similar to your drawings. On a recent trip a friend followed me and filmed how much the bikes moved, it wasn't pretty. The bikes bounced up and down a lot, it wasn't due to the bike rack, but the rear bar flex.
To correct it, i'd need to make longer rear bar mounts to spread the load further along the vans chassis, being worried about a knock on effect with this idea I thought a bit differently and did this.

The tool box by the way is this.

A webber 2200 fit in it just, and a honda 2.0 fits sideways also.
Hey @DaveR, can you put up that video? That would be a great reference for anyone contemplating a rear mount bike rack
