I purchased a Thetford electric ventilator to suit the C260 toilet fitted to our 2014 21.64-1 on ebay and fitted it up tonight.
The kit came with everything required, including 2 new circuit boards, fan module, replacement sticker, seals and charcoal filter element.
The first step was to remove the cassette, and then remove the over plate behind the cassette to reveal the circuit board in there.
The old circuit board is removed, and replaced with the new one form the kit.
Next was to unscrew the 4 screws holding the toilet to the floor, and then disconnect the flush water pipe and wiring to allow the toilet to be removed.
The the toilet is turned upside down, and the 2 cutouts for fitting the fan and wiring are removed
Once the hole was cut, the unit is placed back into position on the floor, and the hole marked for cutting. The and 85mm hole was cut through the floor, and the adaptor tube installed.
The the fan was fitted into the base of the toilet, wiring run through and held in place with a foam seal
The flush button sticker was removed, and the old circuit board removed and replaced with the new one. Original cables reconnected as well as the new one coming from the fan, and new sticker applied.
Wiring then tidied, and reconnected, flush hose reconnected, and toilet screwed back down to floor.
Charcoal cartridge installed, and cassette replaced.
New light on the control panel comes on when fan operates. It turns on automatically when toilet is flushed, and runs for a set time period after. Alternately you can press the fan button to turn it on or off manually.
You can also connect a hose underneath to take the air from the vent somewhere if you like. I'll probably just leave it exhausting straight down
