Howdy All
I've just installed a roof scupper on the front of our expander as a dust deterrent on dirt roads. I thought I would share with anyone else thinking of doing the same.
I thought the whole roof would be a foam sandwich, however it turns out there is a 240mm wide strip of timber along the from the front edge (see attached photo). Because I didn't know about it, I encroached on the timber by about 30mm; not that it seems to matter too much.
All in all, a pretty simple operation. The roof is only about 30mm thick. I used a jigsaw with a longish blade from the top and it went right through and cut the ceiling as well. I used a metal blade which is finer and also cuts on the up-stroke leaving a really clean cut on the ceiling. A bit of silicon, 4 pop rivets and all done.
Cheers
