Hi All,

A friend of mine has recently bought a Hino Truck and wants to have the ability to tow his Sterling with it.

The truck is predominantly 24V, but has a towbar and wiring fitted which outputs 12V at the plug, thanks to a 24V to 12V stepdown transformer, which is mounted near the towbar. I'm guessing that it is not substantial enough to power his (large) fridge and charge the battery in the caravan, and that he'll have to buy a higher current transformer / regulator. I've only managed to find 40A peak / 20A continuous units, and thought this is probably not enough.

Has anyone had any experience with 24V systems and powering their vans?

Thanks in advance,

Andrew
