Well, we love our little van. Bog standard except its built on an OB frame for the extra height and I added the latest TV aerial and tunable amplifier as well as an Anderson setup.
Last year we spent 5 months away all up including 11 weeks of mostly rain and still had a Great time.
The usual long list of minor faults were easy to fix even though Jayco support is good it was easier to do it myself.
Setting her up for our next trip we are heading to beechworth , Bright ,Bendigo ,ballarat and much further from next week .Can't wait to hit the road !!!

Greg

Welcome Greg. Hope that's not the usual way you tow your van! Have a great trip, hopefully we'll save some decent weather for your visit. Bright should hopefully be showing it's autumn colours too. Magic spot.

Thank You.

Yes I guess it is as we see a lot of vans heading North this time of year.
Last year we went North and got rain so going South it will be cool and dry I hope? and quieter after the end of April?
I used to Hanglide/paraglide at bright so it will be interesting to spend some time there just looking around.
OOPs swung the van round by hand to park after a test run yesterday and crushed my umbilical cable! Oh well another hour or so spent fixing it.

The Pic is from one of my Hang gliders circa 1996?looking towards Mystic hill.

We are back!

Well,
That 4 months on the road went quick!

Only a little hassle ,I broke an awning rivet when I let the rope go .Only $1.50 from Jayco and 5 minutes work. On other peoples vans I fixed one fridge,1 aircon,3 computers, repaired one light fitting, drank a fair bit of some ones home made Bundy, and set up 2 I phones.
Travelled to Victoria spent a month but had a quick trip home for a week after Gail broke a tooth then headed North and got no further than Hervey bay(7 weeks) before very slowly heading home.
The Discovery still seems like the best van for us and I spent today polishing it and generally fussing over it .

Didn't feel the same coming home, It is starting to feel more right living in the van than the house so we are emptying the house of unnecessary stuff and deciding what to do next ???Retirement village?
