I finally finished making the new bumper out of 100 x 50 mm RHS for our Expanda and fitted a drop down assembly for the spare wheel. Quite happy with the results.

Mounted on top is my reverse camera while the number plate and light are moved to the right of the bar.

One job leads to another leading to another.

The new bar required the moving of my tent pole tube which then required the change from two outlets to one of the waste water outlet.

Another couple of jobs off the list

Also fitted an aluminium box the full width of the van on the draw bar to hold the anti-flap arms and the centre awning support. This box was ordered at 95 x 220 x 1800 mm but the guy making it decided the measurements were internal rather than external so it ended up 103 mm high and had to be forced into a 100 mm gap. It's in and very tight and certainly wont move but it has clamps around it to be sure.

I never could understand why the two waste outlets.
it's to get the joining point down lower, otherwise it can airlock and back up into shower, could of been fixed by larger pipes, but the cost multiplied by lots of vans made it cheaper to have the lower joiner as a cheaper fix.

Hi Chartrock

I like your new bumper. I want to get some weight off the towball, so will be making up a new bumper.
Did you use the existing tube/fixing which is welded to the chassis ?
Any advice/tips before I start would be appreciated.
Thanks
Glen

I'll try to get a pic tomorrow @jiimel06 but it just goes straight into the bracket that the old round bar came out of. The round bar was held in with two bolts but I have used three per side.
