New 17-56-2 ordered

Ordered a 17.56.2 outback today for a family holiday mid 2011.
Now the wait starts.
Funny how over the last month or so how i have been looking at every van that passes thru town thinking, next year that will be the wife, 2 kids and myself for 12 weeks exploring OZ

Hi all
Picked up the new 17-56-2 yesterday. We are now planning a "shake down" trip over a weekend to see how everything works and what fits where, before heading off in August for 10 weeks. Planning to go up through Central Aust. and down the West Coast and back home across the Nullabor.

Lujo - Congrats on the pickup, how was handover van as ordered expected? We love pics by the way

Turtle - Love the storage you have, I think I asked this before but the slide out on the thin cupboard where did you get that? Also the caddys in the shower are they the stick on ones and do they hold? I had a couple of cheap ones from the $2 shop but they kept falling off .

This is the address for the slide out pantry,http://www.caravansplus.com.au/cata....html?osCsid=2e142065d11bc06fcbf916e98251c5f9. I had to cut it down by about 20mm to get it to fit. Cutting it down was easy, so don't let that stop you.
You can get the bathroom accessories are from Bunnings, Target or Big W, and they haven't come off yet. They are a mechanical suction arrangement.
The Tool boxes, plastic storage containers and pantry racks are also from Bunnings.

G'day Lujo,
We are also planning a trip west starting at the beginning of August but we are heading down your way and across the Nullabor to Kalgoorlie, up the middle from there to Pt Headland and down the west coast to Perth and the SW corner then back pretty much the way we went over. Hoping to spend about 3 months on the road.

We have done the Centre and the Kimberley so this time want to see as much of the south and south west as possible. Maybe we can catch up with you on the west coast.

Enjoy the planning, it is part of the fun and I'm sure you will have a great time with 10 weeks of travel.
