20' Series Jayco to reduce models ?

Went to our only Jayco dealer in Perth on Friday to enquire about ordering a Expanda 20.64-2 only to be told that Jayco are deleting this model for next year. Was told that they will only continue production of the 20.64-1 which is a real pain as I don't need the expanda bed ends at both ends and would have prefered the hard wall at the rear for bike rack. I also prefer the extra cupboard space that you get at the rear without the bed end. The salesman said Jayco are on track to sell 10 000 vans this year and forecast sales of 12 000 for next year hence their reason for going to one model in the 20ft expanda series instead of two to streamline production. Now I hope the salesman was speaking the truth and not telling me this to get a sale for something he had already in stock. Has anyone else heard of model reductions for next year ?
Cheers
Jason

They seem to do it every year, but every year a new model pops up so it sort of defeats the purpose.

We found that happened with our model. Got the 21-64 last Chrissy and this year they deleted it. We were talking about waiting til this year to get it, but now am glad we didn't wait. The 20 just doesn't appeal to me inside

Another poster also made reference to them deleting one of the 3 Basestation / Toyhauler models, ie from 3 to 2 models so sounds probable.

When they went from the Sterling to tge Silverlinevthey deleted a few layouts including the ones with bunks at 25 ft and the 21ft with the ability to put a bike in side the back and took out a layoutof the 23ft they tend to make the models with the higher selling units and try and streamline production , too many choices of layouts costs them too much money i would ring jayco head office and check with them

When we enquired it was a one off model and not interested in doing any others as it was meant to be a mummy and daddy van only lol
