How to remove stove vent???

Hi I would like to know if anyone can tell me how to remove the vent above the stove? We have a 16.49.1 and it seems to want to break if we try and pop it off.

If anyone has done this in the past and knows a special trick, please let us know.

@Johnstons done ours a couple of weeks ago, yes I do know what you mean that it want to break. Gentle prying will get it out, though look into the lower and upper sections through the grill and you can see the clips that hold it in.
They are best to my failing memory as SWMBO keeps reminding me though thats another topic, 2 lower and 2 upper sections toward the outer edge of the vent.

Oh, its dishwasher safe too, well ours survived it. Hope this helps. Pace.
