Hi All, a quick note to intro myself & the family (wife, 2 daughters & his royal highness "Rusty" the chihuaha). I have spent so much time viewing the threads & thought it about time to sign up. I must say thanks to so many of you for the threads I have read from rear bars, to lighting & now battery installs. It has inspired me to do some work on my Expanda as well.
We have a 2000 GU Patrol 4.2TD (just upgraded from our beloved GQ) towing a 2007 16.49.1 on road. Have mainly done highway but have also dragged the rear a few time on the Expanda in caravan parks so decided to roll the axle over 180 degrees giving a fair lift with the offset axle. Still tows great. About to trial some 15" rims with larger tyres in the next few weeks so we will see how they go. On the drawing board is a rear bar, upgrading the lights to LEDs once the shop gets some more in for me & making dust covers for underneath the Van. All these ideas off the forum so thanks to all who posted these great ideas.
Now bring on next weekend so I can complete some more. Cheers.
