Stumbled across this by accident today as I started sorting things out ahead of our new van delivery next Saturday (Starcraft 20.62-3).
You know the deal... bugs galore on your towing mirrors.
I have usually taken them off before I wash the car thus they were looking pretty ordinary.
At my outside sink, I had just finished cleaning the weber with some spray on BBQ cleaner - in a bottle not unlike spray and wipe. The alkaline type.
One spray and one wipe on the chrome mirrors and violla!
Like new. Years of bugs just fell off...... Just like you see in the ads for any cleaning product only it worked! (Don't think I'd do it if they were on my car though - maybe the doorss would fall off!)
Cheers
Andrew

The spray type Pine-O-Clean works well too especially on windscreen, but rise well, seem to work on the fibreglass also, found that out on my camper, after a trip to Broken Hill
