Hi Everyone,

Does anyone know of any free camping sites in or close to Victoria that have access to mains water?

Do they exist?

If not, I'm after recomendations for cheap camping, we are fully self-contained but would like to not have to be overly frugal with water. 160 liters only goes so far with one wife, two daughters and a son :(

Worth investing in a copy of Camps Australia Wide which show which spots have water supply.
As always just take what water you really need and always use a proper drinking water hose and BEST (or similar) water filter if you're drinking/cooking with the water. Also a good idea to carry variety of tap fittings and a tap handle with you if you're serious about free camping. Got one like this off eBay.

Have you heard of Green Lakes in Ararat? Apparently it is $5 per day and has full amenities block and the sites are all unpowered.
