Am I the only person that has to continually replace the supports in my drawer under the cook top? Does anyone have this problem and have a solution. I currently only have foil trays and some tea towels in it and it's collapsed again! I have 2011 Expanda 16.

I have a Sterling Outback which continually had drawers collapsing. I found Jacyo had used screws that were too small and too short. They simply were not getting enough grip into the plywood. I replaced them with longer and heavier gauge self tapping screws which penetrated right through the plywood and put them in every hole in the bracket. No problems since.

Thanks Hodges4.

Unfortunately my problem is that they used a plastic support at back and it just "tears". Every time we use van we need to replace them.

I had that problem in my old expanda and fixed it myself by running a piece of timber right through to support the drawer slide.

Happened to us to us too after replacing the plastic crappy hinges at the back also reinforced with wood underneath to support the load, considering it was cups and mainly plastic glassesglasses in the drawer I think it's just a poor design but once fixed no problem happened on both 2005 and 2011 expanda problem solved and van sold mrsmfexpanda
