Well we finally did it after much procrastinating , paid a deposit on a NEW WillowRV Conifer 624 to be delivered at the end of October.

29mm composite walls, roof, ends and floor which is also fully insulated so we probably won't need a smelly diesel heater :behindsofa:
It comes with almost every thing we needed as standard, our only options are leather dinette and a grey water tank. We are not really keen on the wood grain trip but it was the build materials that are most important to us as this SHOULD be our last van.

Basically its a 21 footer with Alco independent suspension, there is an option for a 6" chassis with bigger wheels and heavy duty suspension but we went with the 5" chassis and 15" wheels as apparently "we not going on long dirt roads again" ;) Tare 2295Kg ATM 2800Kg so it wont be a problem for the Jeep,

All we need to do now is sell our Sterling before the end of October, we are open to offers!!!!!

Cheers Dave

Congrats David and Carmel, looks like it will be a terrific van and SHOULD be the last if you don't "go on long dirt roads again." :behindsofa: Good luck with the sale of the Sterling.

Hi Paul
I was thinking if you and Elaine today, how’s the new pad going? You have been suspiciously quiet lately, we need to catch up.
Ian, Carmel suggested we go to Rainbow for our shakedown trip, I decided Elliot Heads has more room to negotiate the new beast. You know you can come fishing here anytime, just have to find a day when it’s not blowing, we had 2 so far this year

House is fine, we are just throwing money at it at the moment. We have put a 6.7 Kw solar system on the roof, excavated for the new carport for the van, to be built in the next month or so, bought a new 3 x 3 metre shed which I have yet to erect. Another thing was the pool which had a leak in the suction line and a poorly maintained filter costing over one and a half grand. We also changed the front from two garage entrances with roller doors to one large one with a panel lift door which also gave us another 180mm height in the entrance enabling the BT50 easier entry. The place is over run with golden canes and I am trying to get rid of some of them so there is plenty to keep me occupied.

Would love to get up your way for a break but not sure if I can find the time at the moment. I like the pix of the new house in the background of your van shots.

Sounds like there is enough to keep you fit, we took out 20 plus palms at our Palmwoids house and I have just planted a couple of golden canes here even though I said I wouldn’t :boink: but it’s all good fun. We haven’t been anywhere really since the house has been finished, got itchy feet now though

Still waiting but here are a few in progress pictures, you can see the composite in some of these pics, all sides, floor and roof are 29mm thick with hi density foam insulation, getting closer but no cigar just yet.
