Crack in front skirt

Hi All,
I just noticed a crack in the front corner of my 2mth old 20.62-2 OB.
Has anyone else had this problem, is it an urgent thing that I should get looked at ASAP or just on the first service? I guess I can put some tape over it to stop water getting in as a short term measure.

yeah bit of tape over it and get it fixed under warranty on the first service, maybe give the dealer a ring though as his opinion should hold more water than mine

I couldn't tell you as I don't know what material it is, it's not vinyl is it?

The semi-circular 'stress-marks' on the left point to an impact to me although it's hard to tell. Maybe some-one in the family isn't say'in nuffin.

Looks like possible impact to me too, maybe from rock or kerbstone. If you zoom into the photo you can see a “ lighter” patch at bottom that may be point of impact. Another possibility is too much steering lock when reversing if you have a tow bar like mine that sits proud of rear bumper! Do you have kids with skateboard/bike/scooter? If it none of the above then I am sure that the dealer will come up with a solution.

Had same issue with my 18-58, in to left corner and along the bottom front where lid closes. Had it replaced under warranty.
No probs so far, it's been 6 + months. M
Don't settle for a fix... insist on a replacement . Good luck

What did they say happened.... was it structural?
