After meeting up with fellow travellers with Jayco Journeys we became aware of a problem with the lid on the stove top falling down whilst cooking end result being either smashed or left with holes. Four broken lids between two vans, to overcome this happening to us, we came up with this simple safeguard. Also spoke to a Jayco dealer who confirmed this happening on certain models, can be very expensive to replace.
