Hello,

I am interested to hear from fellow Expanda owners on what options they have used to carry mountain bike on their Expanda's. I have looked at
ISI brand but $1900.00 is just way too expensive to carry a couple of bike 3-4 times a year. SO! any mods or ideas would be appreciated.

These will fit easily if you have an extrended A frame.

We have put a mountain bike inside the caravan taking the front wheel off and making a bracket with a fork mount to support the bike. Then supported the bike to the table.

I have a double bike rack for the drawbar (I think it is a Thule) I bought 2nd hand 12 months ago. i found it would not fit my Ebikes as the rear axle is wider than a normal bike axle so I plan to sell it on. Not a lot of help to you as I am on the Gold Coast, a long way from Sydney.

Not knowing what model your van is I had this fabricated for the rectangular rear bar on our 14 footer that has a solid rear wall. You then fit a standard tow all mount style bike rack.

I have a 16.49 and the rear bar is round and sprayed white

Just bite the bullet and buy the ISI when you can. I thought the same and looked at different options for about 18 months, but finally got one this year. It’s so worth the money. They sell online (rarely)for near new price and add value to your van.

makes a good clothesline at the front of the van when it’s not in use. I have the same van as you.
