So I have a New Age Wayfinder with AL-CO ESC factory fitted. The Controller to our Tow Vehicle was fitted at pick up. We are now wanting to sell the van and get a different one.
Do the new owners need a compatible controller fitted to be able to tow it away, or will the brakes lock up and make it unmovable?

The ESC system doesn't have a controller in the tug, what you see is the van electric brake controller which works the van brakes when you use your foot brake or the manual lever/button.......................... The ESC works independantly to apply van brakes lightly to stop sway, it should have an indicator unit on draw bar with a red or green led, it isn't operated from the driver and just requires 12v power via the 12 pin or a dedicated anderson plug or similar, if not connected it won't apply the brakes,

If you sell it to someone they should have an electric brake controller fitted in their vehicle to operate the brakes, it not customary for you to provide it but is a legal requirement for them to have one, they are not a simple plug and play job.... you will need it for your next van
