So with out little 14.4.4, i wanted some way of taking 4 bikes with us on our travels.

I came up with this.

in essence 2.5mm walled 100x50 section with 50x50 outriggers. The bike rack is secured with U clamps and then i tied the whole thing back with a turn buckle to the rear wall of the van to make sure it doesn't vibrate andwobble around.

The turn buckle is secured right through the wall int the aluminium bedding section of the bunk bed on the other side, secured with spacer and nuts. This spreads the load across the whole wall, seams to be ok but i am unsure of wall construction and how the whole van is tied in together.

Thoughts?

Something i may have missed?

setup looks good. Have someone follow you with it loaded up and check for bounce. If it’s bouncing you might need to strap the last bike across the handles to minimise.

Apart from that good job. And great idea with the turn buckle
