Hi all,

Well we finally having a go at free camping this weekend. Myself and two boys are off to Sheepyard flats with my sister in law and her partner. We will be leaving friday after an early finish from work, then will spend Saturday having a look around going up to Craig's hut and the local sights, then Sunday morning Fry's hut before heading home on Sunday afternoon. This is also our first 4wd outing so hopefully all goes well. Just wish we had more time :clap2::clap2:

Hi All,
Just letting you know we had a great trip @ Sheepyard flats over the weekend. We arrive around 8pm on friday night .Saturday was spent touring up to Craig's hut a bit of(1st time) four wheel driving around Mt.Stirling, it was very mist with low lying cloud surrounding the mountain, then back to sheepyard for a well earned beverage and weber cooked pizzas. Sunday morning was spent touring around to Fry's hut & Tunnel bend, the whole area is absolutely stunning with breath taking views around every corner. As i mentioned this our first time at free camping and 4wd driving and i am totally hooked.

You do know it's a disease, I caught it back in 1974 and have had 4x4's ever since but my touring is more sedate now, the hard stuff has been closed up.

Good to see another convert to free camping.....as @Drover said....it's a disease.

We're currently in a caravan park and, while the park is good and the area interesting, I hate being in a line of caravans!

but...we're safe, we're dry at the moment and there're plenty of food outlets
