We have put a deposit on a new Jayco Journey Outback 19.61-3
Options we have gone for are

2x160w Solar
2 x 100hr Batteries
A-Frame Extension
3rd Water Tank
Suspension and wheel upgrade (600kg and 16inch)
Water Filter to sink
Washing machine
Outdoor Table
Relocate the jockey wheel to the center of the a-frame

Anything else I may have missed ? we have a couple of months before it goes into production.

We were going to get the bike rack but new ADR laws have stopped Jayco from supplying the full size rack and you can only get the compact one now (meaning you have to turn the handlebars sideways and take a pedal off.

Hi NoWorries, we are picking ours up next week with almost the exact same list of extras, the only other one we had was the trifold table in lieu of standard cafe.
Not long now.

I was going to say tri-fold they are very versatile......top load washing machine is better than front load if free camping a lot.
Make sure they are fitting a Snow Flake aerial, they will pick up both types of TV transmissions.
I reckon the Colorado awnings are sturdier than the Fiamma as well.

Now the big wait

Picked up our 19.61-3 today

Towed way easier than the old 14.44-4 which was a surprise.

What about after youvé loaded it to the gunwales ????? Must admit I found going to a dual axle it was easier to drag around than the 14.44 at times.

I was comparing the empty 14.44-4 as I had just dropped it off to the buyer.

I am interested to see how I go when it is loaded though.

Have you got your payload allowance sorted especially with the third water tank. Make them put a few more kg on the plate.

Exciting times @NoWorries They look like a great model.

Interesting to hear comments re easier to tow than a 14fter. As we are doing almost the same change from a 14.44 to a similar size 19ft dual. I found the 14ft sat perfectly behind our car and was concerned the bigger van might be more of a handful but maybe not?

The 14.44-4 was the same for us and sat really well behind our car, Jeep Grand Cherokee. What I noticed was a little less pitching with the bigger van.

I also only towed up to about 85kmh so not a real good test.

I had similar concerns around the bigger van but was pleasantly surprised.
