Yeah I have heard mixed results so though I 'll ask.
Dealer said my 12 pin plug is connected the to fridge but im more worried about charging the battery when driving.
The larger 5 pins in a 12 pin plug are rated at 35amps which is more than a caravan fridge drawers ..... but I still managed to melt 2 of them with a 150ltr fridge drawing around 17amps. The problem with the 12 pin plugs is the pins themselves requiring the occasional clean and reset by spreading the pins to maintain a good connection. They should perform fine unless, like me, never bothered to look after them. The Anderson is more set and forget ... and a good alternative for lazy people

I went for years just using a 12pin, no drama, always checked to make sure the pins hadn't closed up , then on some rough stuff the plug wiggled a bit loose, the pins caused resistance and melted the whole damn thing, so now use an anderson to run the power to the fridge and all is good with no chance of a meltdown plus the wiring is now a decent size which the 12 pin won't carry .............don't worry about charging the battery from The Ute, the solar panel does all that way better.

I have only ever had the 12 pin but do not have a solar set up. Never had a problem with my onboard battery being charged, use this only for lights really.

Anti Flap kit on. I was reluctant to do it myself because I didn't want to stuff it up or damage something else but all went well.
Even got to check out the awning lights for the first time. Love it!

We didn' get a centre pole for the awning roller on our 20ft'ers annex, but its probably not a bad idea. Did you get curved rafters with your anti flap kit. IMHO they are more important. The awning sags through the middle over 100mm which means it has 200mm minimum of slop to slap up and down. You need curved rafters with up near 100 bow to take that slop out to eliminate flap. Without annex walls installed flat or low bow curved rafters are next to useless

Howdy @Crusty181 I went with this Anti Flap Kit from Aussie Travelers had it on my old van and was impressed how good it was.
The centre rafter I'll get soon and will again go with a Aussie Travel brand. It's pretty cheap but shop around Aussie Traveler Centre Rafter
From what I have read and my friends opinions it's recommended to have one. So I'm happy to spend the $80 for that peace of mind.
Sorry @caax, mistook centre support for the central vertical post which holds up the awning roller on some annexes. Yes, the Aussie Traveller anti flap is good and their rafters have a nice high curve. I've got 2 rafters because besides the obvious two is better than one theory, the awning fabric stretches in hot sun particularly with rafters installed, and I'm hoping the stretch will be a little more distributed across more rafters

I also over the weekend, ended up repainting the bunk sleeping bars white. 100x better than the brown.
I also found on one of the roof pull up bars some surface rust coming through. I'll let them know on my first service.
Starting to count the days down know for our first trip in the new van...............can't wait!

First trip away in the van went well. Nice drive up through the middle of the night from Wollongong to South West Rocks. My son and I got into SWR about 3:30am so we park along side the river for the rest of the night.
The van has a few little things that need fixing awning leaks at the top and one of the windows wont stay up.

First and last trip with the falcon.
