Has this became a weight thread

Folks just keeping your thread on the top while we wait for you to get back here................................................we are thinking about you sitting back on trains praying for rain............:02.47-tranquillity:.......:D

Rack looks good, I like reusing stuff, make sure the mesh you use is gal, otherwise it will be a pain in months to come.........................mine on the ute comes off every 2 yrs for a major clean and paint, should get it blasted and powdered......

way better than the dangerous milk crate I use.

most underrated and under used piece of camping equipment

carry's things
stores things
packs up neatly in the back of car / ute / Van
mobile seat
foot stool
single step ladder
mini coffee table

I tell ya, there is 1001 uses for a Milk Crate
greatest single invention (after a bread slicer)

forgot to add, you can put your gas bottle in it and tie it to your roof rack..................

If you are charging your battery while parked up check the battery, GELs and AGMs if getting hot smell that way, while lead acid smell differn't, a bit like cats wee..............if you have 2 batteries check they are connected properly, if they are and one is warm/hot then it's a dud..............

3 years down the track my van still has the same distinctive smell it had when we collected it

Okay so not the battery then, that spare tube of silastic squashed and hidden away ???????? ........... More than likely the toxic vapors of wood glue, other adhesives and plastics permeating thru your van..................a good airing before use then is advised or a dirty nappy left in a corner to hide the odour.
