But true to form @Dobbie the others I had to throw back as they were too small, showed Mrs D, showed my neighbour to prove I can catch fish so now I can catch and throw back as it's easier to pick it up at the fish shop............but the tides are right so back out in the morning for a proper paddle and maybe throw a line in....................................be nice to head up around Cooktown, won't hit road again till late August, hoping to redo the Dinosaur Trail, everyone should be heading for home then.

Oh and my Aldi fishing glove was very handy, no spikes in hand this time.

Was going to try my luck again this morning but they were burning off the southern end of NP so now we have a thick fog of smoke around us.....

@Frog brought to my attention a pic of my Legendary Cruiser which I had posted way back on my 14 thread, parked at the Coloured Sands at Rainbow Beach checking out the fresh water flow from the dune's, must have been way back in about 1990 going by the size of my daughter, under the pink hat, did sterling service taking The Clan Drover to special spots, and while I always wanted to live here, didn't hold out much hope.........................aint life grand though, never say never, we live 15 mins away from this great spot...................

Not alone by any chance either hey Dave, they must have followed you...................... I got out of bed at 0800 and had time to sort things out before visitors for lunch who left shortly before I had to go to Dentist, if i didn't have a few appointments over the next few weeks Big Mal would be locked and loaded and would have been following them up the highway.

Mate @DRW I went thru that last year but I think yours is a bit more extended than mine, mine was about 5 mths all up...............................

Big Mal is getting new shoes this week, a nice set of Geolanders on the " pay for 3 get 4 offer ", which works out at $209 each, should be able to get 5 years or more out of them, rather a known reliable bit of rubber to give a long life than some unknown bit of rubber that starts to go rotten in a few years..

I am continually amazed at how stupid some people are
I know, maybe I should stay away from Faceache if it annoys me that much, but, really

a post went up about busting the myth on rated shackles

and the people arguing that you DO need them

and another about towing mirrors
I can see, so why do I need them

fer foorks sake
