Pathfinder towing expanda

Gday !
I currently have a prado 150 diesel which I bought new in 2010 & have towed our Jayco camper trailer & expanda throughout Australia . Been through the red centre , up to Kurumba in the gulf, flinders ranges, kimberleys etc and never had an issue with the Prado. As it turns out I can get a lease vechile through work on a pretty good deal, but the best I can get is a 2017 Nissan Pathfinder TI AWD petrol.. It has a tow rating of 2700kg but I'm wondering if anyone has towed with one ??

Pathfinder is an interesting vehicle. If I was after a rig of that size in an AWD format, it would certainly make my short-list.

But then I'm not a diesel-tragic... No doubt there are plenty who will say that you are mad to tow with a petrol powered vehicle - but no doubt they tow with a diesel, and have never owned a current-technology (e.g. direct injection, VVT, stratified injection etc) petrol engined vehicle.

you do have a point @Doc
but
the last 2 vehicles to tow with were both petrol (admittedly old old old technology)
last one GQ Patrol TB42 (Petrol / Gas)
before that, FJ62 - 2F then 3F petrol engines

mind you my other car (cruiser) is a Petty V8 - just too thirsty when I'm driving, hence why I have not updated my TD42 to the new Y62

We have a 6 speed diesel Pathfinder - so not exactly what you are looking at!. Towed a 2300 van clockwise around Australia and had no issues.

PM me if you need pricing, this month and Jan, Pathy is really cheap, there is additional bonuses over and above salary pricing which is better than retail pricing. Which lease company are you going through
