Hey all
We just crossed from NSW to WA with a 18.58.2 and my pasenger side tyres are " not well " scrubbed badly, so I'm looking for advice from our WA members on alignment locations that they have used successfully for jtech.
Curently parked at Norsman but heading south then up to Perth and further north, I recon I will be lucky to get 5k before totaly "not well"
Any advice will be appreciated

Havent had any tyre work done down esperance way at all, but you could try a tyre place down there. Given it is country, some may be set up to do trucks, etc. Otherwise a caravan repair place may be of assistance (again I dont know of any there as I'm in Perth). In Perth, I got The Caravan Shed to do ours (pricey, but I've been told it is the norm). They are located near Bibra Lake, which is on the southern side.
@bigcol is very knowledgable and may be able to help.

Thanks for the replys.
Smirke if you were happy with the Caravan shed that will do me, I will try to get a booking for a couple of weeks.
I just sent an email to a mobile guy so I will wait and see and perhaps compare prices.

I’m no expert but the independent suspension has adjustment cams on the side. When our caravan was new I held a straight edge along the wheels and they were ta least four or five mm out of alignment. In fact it could be seen with naked eye. Jayco adjusted under warranty and no problems since. Hope yours can be sorted.

Price sounds about standard, some set ups are easy some are difficult, a lot were done with bugger all adjustment other than force.

Thanks again for the help,
I'm going to have a go at adjusting the one side as now in Albany and I dont think they would make Perth.
Both tyres so bad both will need to be replaced so whats to lose, I'll keep you posted

OK I'm rough but I might have hit on something, after your replys I got to thinking.
Two lengths of 50lb finns with sinkers stuck to chaise rail when hanging a basic plum bob leve.
Get under and measure the gap to wheel RIM.
Suprise not the same 10mm diference
So question do I now balance the gap, its my thought if the wheel rim is parallel to the chaise we should be good to go.

Remembering these tyres are about shot and will be replaced I have nothing to lose.

have a look for a truck aligner in Albany
I have never used, but have just read about this mob.......
https://www.albanygateway.com.au/directory/10015-great-southern-alignments-1
this is the bit that made me look -
18 B Golflinks Road Mobile laser wheel alignments for Trucks, Buses and Trailers.

I have never been unlucky enough to need to visit a tyre shop in Albany, so I hope they can help you
and get it sorted for you ASAP

Thanks again for the info this site is like having mates on tap
Sunday am so Southern not open till Monday.
I did get the tools out yestreday arvo and had a go at adjusting, it was to easy so I must have done it wrong.

I have found tyres in Perth also the mobile alignment guy and to top it off a cheap caravan park so I will go there.
I am keen to see the results of my tampering for beter or worse, as these tyres are dust I can learn somthing for later.
I marked my adjustments for refrence sake it was about 1/6th of a turn quite a bit I thought, you only have one adjustment nut so I hope I see a result if I start to feather the inside edge I will be very happy as I tryed to over adjust.
We dont leave hear till Wednesday.

As a side if you find yourselfs in Albany a top cheap camp $22 a night 2 people with power and town water or the best $110 per weak is Two Peoples Bay van park.
Now this is not the flash big 4, it more a bush camp with power, water toilets and showers, and realy what more do we want, its proved a great secure base being 20 minutes out of town

They are a new one on me @Bluey , Chinese I suppose, I recently went for 4 new Yokahama Geolanders on Big Mal, bought on the pay for 3 get 4 deal, I wanted tyres that would last age wise without drama but also run and wear true, just so sick of cheap stuff that only gives a few years service before cracking up, I reckon on vans good quality is a must as they sit around so much as very few of us, me included, actually give the wheels a spin every month when static to stop a flat spot developing.......that would cause a lot of flats .

Just don't go for a chunky or aggressive tread pattern Blue Dog, on a trailer they just cause more wear and serve no usefull function other than look cool, thats why on trucks you will find a highway type pattern, doesn't get chewed corning.......I have seen quite a few of the chinese stuff with a very deep tread, stay away from them they will cause it to wander all over the place until they wear down, bloody horrible things.
