Roller blind. Much better than the bulky curtains the manufacturer provides.
Im not sure I agree Peter.. The curtain is not so good, and a blind is certainly a great idea ..... but

We traveled with friends who had a New Age with a similar blind and the constant banging of that damn chain on the door was absolutely painful ... and we were only camped next to them :(

Our chain has "tensioner" at the bottom. Stops the chain from rattling around.

Back to heater saga.....

Finally got a dometic agent. Theromstat is located too low on wall. Warm air outlet was bent into a nice "S" shape through the underbed storage divider. The cover over the heater was installed too low. The end result is a heater that overheats and turns off.

So a bit of work today and the warm air is now in a straight conduit and the cover is raised by 100mm. Hopefully this cures the issue.

The repairer installed a new thermostat and switch in a better location

Old outlet on the rhs, new one on lhs.

You can see the old hole for the outlet through the under bed divider. So the pipe did a fairly tight "S" bend to get to the old outlet.

The heater saga continues or finishes depending on your point of view......

Exhaust cover was hanging 2cm below outlet, took it of its chain, heater works perfectly, heater exhaust must've needed a bit more clear space around it.

Bring on winter.......

When I get home I'm thinking about fitting a larger diameter inlet under the van to quieten things down a bit and also fit a larger diameter exhaust so I can extend it further away, the thought being the larger diameter will allow less restriction than a long 25mm pipe. Used ours about 3 times this trip down south missed winter entirely i think.

Hey @Drover, I shoved the air intake into a short of PVC pressure pipe cabled tied to the chassis; the heater air pipe isnt sealed in the pipe, just sits in there. On the end of the pipe is a "T" with a piece of egg shell foam shoved in the it. Works a treat and drops the noise considerably. Lasted all the way around Oz. Every so often Ill clean out the foam, or just replace it if we've been on a lot of dust. (Ive cleaned under van with my tooth brush since that photo)
