just back from a 4 day weekend and I must say I like this park.

The park has a mix of powered sites, unpowered sites and flash cabins as well.

The amenities block was in great condition and clean at all times.

For those with kids there was a small pool, and a cafe and bar on site. The administration office was well setup, well stocked and fair pricing.

It’s a 15km Road in from Bulahdelah, approx half of it graded gravel in really good condition.

We took the clubs and had a couple of rounds at the Bulah Royal and Ancient. Only lost 1 ball, so a good weekend by my standards.

So ... you have to drive past one of the most popular freecamps on the east cost, in Bulahdelah, to get to it. That must affect them. We camped in Mungo Brush one year and headed to the Bombah Point ferry to head north. We missed the ferry by 0.456 seconds and had to sit there and wait for its return back across the 25ft pass; even though we were the only potential freight on either side for 50km. The ferry Captain could have instigated a casual conversation, we were that close .... but significantly he didnt. We waited patiently while Captain Stubbing looked back at us parked on the loading ramp.

He sailed the choppy seas back, lowered the ramp and chose that moment to inform us caravan cant get on because of the ramp angles. Thanks genius. We then started to long haul south back to the highway. Ha. One of those "time flavoured" stories that stick in your head

Hi Crusty, are there toilets at the Bulahdelah free camp?
No toilets in the camp area, but there are public toilets just on the other side of the bridge, and were fairly new the last time we camped there a couple of years ago ... it will be one of our stop over options heading nth xmas day this year. Nice quiet pozzie, and nice cafes etc just over the bridge

I presume the point is the toilets are close enough for us, but are appropriately better placed for the locals.

ok thanks. Will be pasing by this way 27th December so will have a look.
Our north bound stop overs will depend on what time we get away xmas day, but if we use Bulahdelah it will be likely the 26th .... I'll leave a pile of Coco Pops and pasta noodles as a kind of sullage geocache for you to find. Be sure to poke around because there could be $100 note under it
