Finally sorted out the thermostat, ended up getting a 2nd temperature sensor, and fitting it as suggested - still nothing.

I went through all of the wiring diagrams and found a minor difference in the wiring, so I changed it and bingo, now all working.

Good idea will the fuel tank outside and portable to :eagerness:

We've had to de-ice the planes at work the last 2 mornings here, been a crazy spring, or what spring should i say. Day times should be nice this week though :)

Could be worse, we were in the UK earlier in the year in their spring, and it looked like this

Well half the install done, just need to run the fuel lines, exhaust pipe and air intake pipe.

Ran all the wires behind the cupboards along the full side of the van.

Wow talk about nerve wracking cutting holes into the floor.

Wow look at all that space to work with, that would have made things a bit easier.

Looks like a good installation @t0ne ...
In the second photo if you undo the three screws above the GPO's you would be able to pull the top of the "skirting board" out enough to feed the cable behind it.

I tried to get it off but couldn't, maybe i didn't try hard enough. It will all be hidden under the bottom bunk anyhow.

Ok so with the new van on order I want to install a Eberspacher d2 again. I know there are other brands but the first one I put in worked beautifully.

I have shopped around and prices have jumped in the 18months since I ordered the first one. I originally paid just under $1000 delived to the door now its looking more like $1500.

Anyone found a bargain online for this model heater?

I'm on the hunt as well as @Smergen and @Kenshi123 is looking as well. It would be nice to find one similiar to the Planar price if we could.

Has anyone been able to compare a diesel heater from pinnacle to the eberspacher d2. For example two members camping together with both versions? Pinnacle seem to be used from a few members and are certainly cheaper but after installing a d2 and loving it I'm thinking I should stick to the same unit. It was faultless for us and quiet etc but would be interested to know anyone who has seen both side by side and compare quality etc.

Have been burnt too many times in the past trying to save money, only to spend more and get what I wanted and getting rid of the first cheap version.
